For those of you compiling a list of the best bands to never make it big, add Jellyfish to that list. Exhibit A for my defense is this slice of pure musical bliss, “Joining a Fan Club.”  It’s from the group’s second and final album, 1993’s Spilt Milk.

For a fun little twist, check out this version. It’s by Japanese pop/rock concern Puffy AmiYumi. It was not a random choice for a cover either. Andy Sturmer, drummer/vocalist for Jellyfish, worked with Puffy AmiYumi as a songwriter and producer. So there you go.
